How long can Syrian president Assad survive?

How long can Syrian president Assad survive?

Before the civil war began nearly two years ago Assad had 20 billion dollars in reserve cash and now the amount has dwindled to 4 billion to 2 billion.

If Assad can't pay his army how long will it be before they abandoned him? Or will Russia and Iran keep funding his regime?

Some 40% of Syria is under rebel control according to a Kuwati newspaper yet most of the rebels are divided into factions.

Eventually Assad's kingdom will further shrink and Assad's last stand will be in Damascus. Assad is blaming Israel for all his problems. Assad final act maybe a missle attack against Tel-Aviv, Israel then Damascus is destroyed (Isaiah 17:1) in one night. (Isaiah 17:14) OR the Islamist take over Damascus threatening Israel and the Islamist take over the chemical factory in downtown Damascus and the Israelis are forced to destroy Damascus in one night.
